Greenbarn is a peaceful one-bedroomed retreat on the flanks of Little Mell Fell in Matterdale in the Unesco World Heritage Lake District National Park. The stone cottage, which has been converted from a former barn, enjoys an elevated position with a picture window overlooking the valley to Great Mell Fell and the Helvellyn range of mountains.
From here, or from the private terrace, guests can relax and look out for the abundant wildlife which thrives in the surrounding area. The beauty of Matterdale is that it is just minutes from the stunning Ullswater valley and yet tucked away from the main tourist route, offering a tranquil break for those that want to get away from it all.
